Daily Quickie: Lemon Sugar Cookies & Iced Coffee

Sunday, January 15, 2012
Daily Quickie will be a short tag on the title which I'll use for blog entries about food I'm snacking at home, work or anywhere.

I love munching on almost anything I can get my hands on, cookies included. A few weeks ago, a friend of my lil sis gave us a jar of Lemon Sugar Cookies. I don't really know the brand because the packaging only says the product name and where it's from, Denmark.

The Lemon Sugar Cookies taste nice. They are sweet, slightly buttery and has a strong lemon flavor. I've eaten quite a few lemon cookies already, but this one has the most real lemony taste. I also love how every piece is bite sized and has a pretty flower shape. Makes popping one into your mouth more interesting.

I can eat the Lemon Sugar Cookies by themselves, but I like pairing it with a cup of coffee. This time though, it's another coffee mix from Old Town White Coffee.

This mug of coffee is Old Town's Ice Cold variant. The coffee mix is supposed to be blended with cold water and served as is or mixed with ice. I like the smooth and quite light blend of this iced coffee. The taste is quite bitter at first, but it becomes slightly sweet after a few more sips.

I think I'll be featuring another Old Town White Coffee variant in the future. I'm not sure though if it'll be soon since I have to lay low with coffee a bit. I get acid refluxes more often than the usual after downing 17 cups of coffee during the holidays. Yes, it's to get my Starbucks planner.

How about you, anything you love to snack at the moment? Or if you have tips for controlling hyperacidity, let me know. Oh, and have a happy Sunday everyone.

  17. oh craving for Lemon sugar cookies and iced coffee right now :) Ako din I have problem with acid refluxe, my doctor advice me to stop drinking soda's and coffee din (syempre ako na ang pasaway I still drink coffee pa rin pero unlike before na I can consume mga 3 to 4 cups a day now I just limit it to 1 small cup) He prescribe me medicine (Omeprazole) pero better to visit your doctor ha!. Ako kasi when my acid refluxe attack talagang ang sakit ng stomach ko, maasim ng feeling and nag-vovomit ako. Sorry habang ng comment ko :) daldal ko talaga :) take care

  18. oh I have acid reflux too and I'm on a daily maintenance of 20mg Omepradex. Well, first of all you have to avoid soda in any form, citrus food/juices and chocolates. I'm a coffee drinker but not more than twice a day. It doesn't bother me at all. But the most important thing is, you have to refill your stomach every 2-3 hours to avoid heartburn and stuffs. But do not overload yourself with food too. It's quite complicated but we are not allowed to get hungry at the same time very full.

  19. I'm a black coffee drinker by choice. I love all sorts of coffee but I focus on black for health reasons. As for pairing, I'm now having the whole wheat crackers with black coffee. :) Again, for health reasons. I love them, though. :)
