Cheenee & Cookie Salon: Nail Pampering at BGC

Call me a late bloomer, but it wasn't until I was almost done with college that I learned to take good care of my hands and nails. Yup, it took me a full 20 years to realize that nail pampering is actually enjoyable! However, although I've grown to seek nail spas on a monthly basis, there are only a few ones that made my favorites. One of which is this fairly new nail salon I've recently visited in a familiar, yet unexpected area in Bonifacio Global City.

Cheenee & Cookie Salon (or C&C), owned by the young dynamic duo (and sisters) Cheenee and Cookie, is one of the newest nail pampering spots in BGC. It sits at the upper ground floor of F1 Hotel Manila, which fronts Home Depot and S&R. Just take the escalator by the ground floor lobby to reach Cheenee & Cookie Salon.

Unlike most nail salons I've been to, C&C Salon doesn't welcome guests with loud, screaming hot pinks. Instead, the place is donned in purple and grays -- a muted and elegant palette perfect for people who need unadulterated nail pampering and unwinding. The choice of colors also won't alienate guys should they visit C&C Salon for their much-needed "me" time.

The elegant shabby chic space at Cheenee & Cookie Salon also exudes this serene vibe that I'm very much so into. Cookie even mentioned how most of their guests easily fall asleep when availing of their services! And who wouldn't? With a graceful interior and piano instrumental of Disney songs in the background, it sure is inevitable to catch some Zs.

C&C Salon also has a mezzanine level perfect for intimate sparty get-togethers with a few friends. There's also an area for couples, and even a private massage room.

My Mani-Pedi and Foot Spa Experience

As much as I love looking through the interior and trinkets at C&C Salon, it's the actual service that may make or break a nail spa visit. So now, let me share with you my experience with Cheenee & Cookie Salon's mani-pedi and foot spa with reflexology.

Different guests have different tastes, and it's nice of C&C Salon to take this into account. As an added personal touch, guests can choose the scent for their foot spa treatments: Serene for elegant lavender, Sweet for fun vanilla, and Sassy for energizing citrus.

Under normal circumstances, I'd choose Serene. But since I needed a sort of pick-me-upper (Yup! Even in scents!), I went ahead with what else... Sassy! v(°∇^*)⌒☆

Apart from getting to choose my preferred scent, C&C Salon also gives guests their own set of tools in a plastic bag: sterilized nail clipper, cuticle nipper, pusher and brush, a disposable foot scrubber, and a nail file and a nail buffer which guests get to take home. (Yay for free nail file and buffer! I now get to fix my nails even on the go.) Now, this doesn't only scream personalized service, but also excellent hygiene! (*＾∀ﾟ)ъ

While I was having my nails cleaned and my feet re-energized, I had to take on the difficult task of choosing my nail color. Gaaah! So many pretty colors and finishes to choose from!

In the end, I decided to go with these two beautiful colors. A bright lime for my fingernails to channel spring-summer, and a slate blue for my toenails to channel autumn-winter. (Can you sense my confusion? It was a hard decision!) (ლ `Д ́)ლ

Although there's a disconnect between my choices of nail colors, I can't be happier with how they turned out! Among my nail spa visits, this is one of the best nail color applications I've ever had! Clean, very even, and opaque. Thanks Ate Jorge! ˚✧₊⁎( ˘ω˘ )⁎⁺˳✧༚

And just as expected, I definitely fell asleep during my pampering session at Cheenee & Cookie Salon. The serene atmosphere with the perfect relaxing piano music, the enjoyable foot spa and massage, the skillful nail cleaning and color application, and the warm and authentic service. Everything was perfect. Even the price tag is as reasonable and wallet-friendly as it gets. And check out their Facebook page, they have promos and discounts!
