Holiday Eats & Christmas Countdown with Bravo Breville

While this year has been challenging for many of us, it's not to say that there weren't any good points. For one, a lot of us have actually started new hobbies and developing more skills while we spent most of 2020 at home. I myself began getting seriously into coffee this year, and making home cafe videos on Youtube. I've also seen a lot of friends and acquaintances developing their cooking and baking skills.

With the year 2020 almost coming to an end, it would be fitting to go out with a bang. Even if we all faced unexpected challenges, there's still a very good reason to celebrate with a spread of homecooked holiday favorites, self-baked sweets and pastries, or even homemade drinks from your home cafe.

To help us plan for the holidays, Breville Philippines held the Bravo, Breville! last December 12 and 19 -- an online Christmas countdown event where top chefs, pastry chefs and baristas share easy-to-make Yultide-themed recipes perfect for the holiday season. And while the event itself has already passed, you can easily view the replay on Breville Philippines' Facebook page (Bravo, Breville Part 1 and Part 2).

I was able to watch Bravo, Breville Part 1 on replay, and I'm sure you'll learn something from watching it too! Chef Myke "Tatung" Sarthou made Chicken Galantina, with Chef Waya Araos-Wijangco making Tabouleh (a Middle-Eastern salad) and a Lemon Meringue Pie. Celebrity and coffee enthusiast Mikael Daez on the oher hand, was also on video chat where he shared his Iced Peanut Butter Mocha coffee recipe, along with stories of his love of coffee.

For Bravo, Breville Part 2, more Breville Masters graced us with their presence which means more recipes to try this holiday season and beyond!

Chef Chad Joseph Datu shared his Baked Embutido (Filipino-Style Meatloaf) recipe, Chef Edward David Mateo with a Classic Fruitcake, Master Barista Dave Dource made a White Christmas Coffee Martini, with Chef Louise De Guzman Mabulo making an Orange Christmas Ham, and last but not the least, Chef Philip John Golding with his Chicken Biryani recipe.

Don't all these sound delicious? I'm definitely taking note of all the recipes shared in the Bravo, Breville! online event, since they're not only great for the holidays but also handy for making a special meal for my family and loved ones.
