Daily Quickie: Starbucks' Bottled Frappuccino Light

Tuesday, November 29, 2011
Daily Quickie will be a short tag on the title which I'll use for blog entries about food I'm snacking at home, work or anywhere.

Last week our family friend who shared us the delicious Roasted Chicken from S&R, gave us another set of treats from the same members-only warehouse shopping destination.

This time though, it's not another viand item but sweet snacks -- a canister of Royal Dansk Luxury Chocolate Wafer Cookies and a set of four bottles of Starbucks' Bottled Frappuccino Light in Mocha.

The Royal Dansk canister wasn't such a big deal for me and my lil sis since we are used to Royal Dansk's butter cookies, but the Starbucks set was unexpected. I didn't even know that Starbucks has bottled frappuccino beverages for sale.

A bottle of Starbucks' Frappuccino Light in Mocha is pure love for me though. This drink is just so satisfying, creamy and smooth with just the right amount of sweetness. Although it's mocha-flavored, it lived up to its claim of being a light drink -- both in taste and in calories. Each 281 mL bottle only has 100 calories, that's 40% fewer calories and 60% less sugar for a Starbucks frappuccino since it's sweetened with Splenda and made creamy with low-fat milk.

I totally dig this drink and I find it better than the cold coffee beverages I order in Starbucks stores. The packaging is also really nice -- small but classy and very interesting. It would actually give one an idea on how to decorate a coffee table. With just a little tweaking and DIY pimping, I bet this would be a nice vase for flowers or colored marbles. Too bad though, I'm not sure though if it's available in other stores, except S&R.

If you know where to get this lovely drink, please let me know. Thanks!

  7. It was funny coz a supplier from work gifted me with 2 packs of this and so I raided local Starbucks for this to no avail. I was depressed for days not being able to find them 'til I accidentally bumped into them at S&R's!!! Para akong maubusan coz I bought too much for a single receipt...hehehe...Super yummy nga sya compared to the one served in stores :D
