Dakasi: Buy One Get One Free at Trinoma
If you've been a regular reader, you'd know my undying love for tea and its trendier sibling, the ever-famous and sought-after milk tea. Although I've already had my fair share of this refreshing beverage, my hunt for the best milk tea shops in the Metro is still on. And recently, it led me to a new milk tea kiosk in Trinoma by the name of Dakasi.

If you're thinking that this is another homegrown milk tea venture, then you're wrong. Apparently, Dakasi originated from Taiwan and has gained popularity all over Asia. And as it opens its new branch in Trinoma's third level, just in front of Marks & Spencer, this milk tea shop is offering a Buy 1 Get 1 Free promo from September 22 until October 5.

Seeing this very tempting promo, my friend Bern and I decided to check out the offerings at Dakasi. And thankfully, we were fortunate enough to have timed our visit during a non-peak hour so we didn't have to wait long for our orders, plus we got ourselves a table!

I decided to order a large Matcha Brown Rice Milk Tea (P100) while my friend got a large Yakult Green Tea (P110). And since there was a buy one take one promo, we only had to pay for the higher-priced beverage. It's like we only paid fifty-five bucks for each of our drinks. And as for the taste, I am definitely in love with what I ordered. The matcha milk tea was very creamy without being overly sweet. It also had some brown rice bits which added an interesting flavor and texture. My friend was pretty happy with her order too. I got to take a sip off her drink and it was definitely very refreshing. The yakult wasn't too overbearing and tart, and it blended very harmoniously with the freshly-brewed tea.
Aside from being happy with our orders and the promo price, I'm also impressed with the selection at Dakasi. They have different kinds of teas, milk teas, and even smoothies. And unlike other milk tea shops, this store offers a lot of hot concoctions as well.
THE VERDICT
Although I already have a list of my favorite milk tea shops, Dakasi definitely surpassed my expectations, and might make its way to the roster. If I have to be completely honest, we only checked this store out since it has an ongoing buy one get one promo. However, I didn't actually think their tea concoctions would be so good! And since it's just in Trinoma, my current go-to mall, Dakasi can definitely expect more visits and purchases from me, with or without a promo.

Just found out that they have one here in Robinsons's place. All the milk tea shops are now in Robinson's place tempting us to buy everytime: cha time, serenitea, gong cha, happy lemon, agantea and now dakasi @_@
ReplyDeleteWe've had our share of milk teas too but I bet ours would have a more diverse flavor than here. :/ Inggit much!
ReplyDeleteI think I was able to try this in Taiwan and it taste really good.
ReplyDeleteI should drop by Trinoma for this.
ReplyDeleteTried Dakasi in Marquee Mall Pampanga, not sure if it's stronger than Happy Lemon or Serenitea or its just the same :)
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try Dakasi, I hope they also have buy 1 take 1 at their Greenhills branch. :)
ReplyDeleteWill try this next time I pass by the Greenhills area because it nearer my place :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried milk tea yet...That's because I only drink water and milk...:-) But these Dakasi milk teas sound yummy and refreshing. I hope to try them someday...
ReplyDeleteWe were on our way out the Marquee Mall in Angeles City, Pampanga when I spotted a kiosk that sells milk tea from Taiwan. As it was new, the name didn't actually register. What struck me was the Yakult-flavored milk tea. Hmmm, maybe this is another Dakasi branch? I'll go double check when I find my way there again. :)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds very interesting, hmmm haven't tasted for milk tea yet and im wishing that they would open a branch here too.
ReplyDeletei am not much into milk teas, my stomach grumbles everytime i drink one waaa
ReplyDeletebuy one take one is a cool idea to introduce it to filipinos! we always love freebies! and love to eat and drink too! haha xx
ReplyDeleteThis is good to know since our go-to milk tea place has always been just Gong Cha and Happy Lemon. At least this time, we'll have another alternative when we frequent Trinoma. By the way, congrats Sumi for being one of the 10 Top EIB's! :) So proud of you. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I saw their big tarp on the mall yesterday and got really interested to try :)
ReplyDeleteCool promo!
ReplyDeleteStores nowadays have their own means of giving
out something free for consuming public to enjoy such as these refreshing milk teas.
I'm going to buy from Teaberi pa naman later but since it's B1T1, I'll try Dakasi muna. =)
ReplyDeletewow! ang bongga. i was just there kanina pero di ko naispatan tong B1T1 promo na to.
ReplyDeleteanyone going to trinoma tomorrow after lunch? let's have a milk tea date. email me. hehe
honestly I still haven't tried any kind of milk tea yet but they are one of my wife's favorite.Maybe i'll give it try..
ReplyDeletewaaaa! photo finish! i only have today and tomorrow to avail iyang buy-one-take-1 promo na 'yan. i also love milk teas.
ReplyDeleteI'm not into teas really but with your verdicts, might as well give it a try.
ReplyDelete!@#@&%$#@!!!! Not another milktea!! Goodness gracious!!!
ReplyDeleteDarn. Di ko inabutan.
ReplyDeleteSaw another branch at Market! Market! &...
ReplyDeleteyes, I am still hesitant about trying their teas but then, who knows?!
Pag buy one, take one din. :)
There's a branch in Greenhills that I would love to try next time :) So near home :)
ReplyDeleteOhmy. They just put up a branch at The District (the new Ayala Mall in Cavite)! :) Weee, a new milk tea place to escape to! And in fairness, affordable ang pricing nila ha. At dahil dyan, I think I'll try first your recommendation, the Matcha Brown Rice Milk Tea. Sana weekend na! :D
