OOTD: A Touch of Pink
Only forty two days left before Christmas! Time has flown by so fast, even though a lot of things happened lately. Anyhow, I know it's been forever since my last OOTD post, but let me preface this first. These outfit photos had been taken quite a while now, but I haven't had the chance to post them here yet due to my untimely blogging and social media hiatus. Still, I hope this is a good share, as I really had fun putting together this simple yet fun outfit.
If you didn't know yet, I dyed my hair pink last summer. (Blog post on how to dye your hair pastel pink to follow, hopefully!) Sure, it was a little tough picking out clothing pieces, in terms of color, that would go nicely with my bright hair. But after mixing and matching, I found that monochromatic themes look more interesting with a pop of fun hair color! ₍՞◌′ᵕ‵ू◌₎♡
Blacks, whites and grays looked so stylish with my pink hair. Actually, even with other vibrant hair colors, I think they'd suit very nicely and would make for a fun and interesting look. Playing with shapes, patterns and textures add more interest to an ensemble too.
And although I'm no fashion expert, I've always loved accessorizing. Adding a necklace, a statement ring, and a set of arm candies can really make an outfit seem more put together, even when you're just wearing a simple tee and jeans. Effortless fashion, as they say.
Speaking of accessories, I've found myself losing a few pieces now and then. I guess it's finally time to get a jewellery box or two, and start accessory-organizing! It's just frustrating when you want to wear a certain accessory, especially earrings, and find the other piece is missing! Jewellery boxes make for nice home décor too, and a great way to showcase your collection.
This post really made me miss my long, pink hair. But don't get me wrong, I still love my shorter, asymmetrical lob. I have been enjoying being light blonde too! But I think I'll have to shake things up pretty soon, especially now that it's nearing Christmas season, and a makeover is in order. (Should I do pink again? Or go for purple this time?) o͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡╮(。❛á´—❛。)╭o͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡͡
Special thanks to my friend Berylle of Its Beryllicious for taking these wonderful photos for my OOTD post yet again. (ღ′◡‵)
