Starbucks PH: Macchiato Madness, Easter Eggs, Sirens and more!

Just over a month after the new year started, there are already a few sweet treats brewing over at one of my favorite coffee shops. And if the blog title hasn't given it away yet, it involves totally different, mostly unrelated, but things a lot of people who fancy Starbucks would find interesting, if not, would fall in love with.

Starbucks 2016

Only a few days before February ended, the 23rd to be more specific, Starbucks Philippines already launched 3 new Macchiatto concoctions that would make coffee lovers go loco, new Starbucks Cards in time for the Easter, new Starbucks VIA Ready Brew coffee, and even new merchandise. And I know, I know, I'm already late in announcing this. However, let me blame the flu season this time, as it really left me sneezing and coughing my lungs out!

Team Macchiato

Chocolate Hazelnut Macchiato

The Chocolate Hazelnut Macchiato (P150 Short; P160 Tall; P175 Grande; P185 Venti) is a sweet and delicious concoction which combines layer upon layer of delicious chocolate and hazelnut flavors with SB's best quality espresso. It's not really bitter, and would be a great treat to those who prefers their coffee more chocolatey and nutty. A good choice too for the beginner or infrequent coffee drinker. Definitely my choco-lover of a sister's favorite!

Roasted Caramel Macchiato

The Roasted Caramel Macchiato (P150 Short; P160 Tall; P175 Grande; P185 Venti), on the other hand, is for the true caramel lover. It's delightful in every sip with layers of smooth, velvety milk, top quality espresso, and deliciously rich caramel taste. It's like a caramel-coffee dessert drink. Definitely right up my caramel lover of a bf's alley!

What about my pick? Actually, I'm torn between the two since I normally like chocolatey coffee, but I'd also crave for caramel-flavored ones from time to time. Haha! (“⌒∇⌒”)

There's also the Caramel Macchiato Frappuccino (P150 Tall; P160 Grande; P170 Venti), SB's most popular hot Caramel Macchiato drink, now as a Frappuccino variant. It promises to give the same delicious taste of smooth milk, caramel drizzle, and a shot of their best quality espresso, but in a fun Frappuccino form. Ah, perfect to beat the upcoming summer heat!

Starbucks VIA Ready Brew

There are a good number of newly-launched coffee blends at Starbucks for the coffee connoisseurs. As for me, I'm more excited about their Ready Brews, since hey, not everyone has the time to grind and brew their coffee every day!

VIA Ready Brew Tribute Blend

As Starbucks launches their Tribute Blend (P425) whole bean coffee to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the coffee chain, they also simultaneously offered a Ready Brew counterpart, the VIA Tribute Blend (P375) instant and microground coffee.

Starbucks VIA Tribute Blend uses the same amazing components found in the whole bean coffee. It is a dark roast, full-bodied blend made from 100% natural roasted Arabica beans, which boasts amazing flavor, body and aroma. Each box comes with 12 sticks.

VIA Ready Brew Caramel Latte

Then there's the VIA Caramel Latte, which promises everyday indulgence in a cup with its combination of rich SB coffee, dairy powder and luscious caramel flavor inspired by their signature caramel handcrafted beverages. And while I think this variant isn't really new, it's (the instant variant) something I haven't tried before, so it's basically very new to me. Every box comes with 4 sachets.

Featured Cards

Apart from the coffee, another thing that has me excited every time I visit a Starbucks branch, is checking out their new cards. I may have been late in the card collecting game, but a lot of their card designs have been really, really cool that it's hard to resist!

And this new Special Edition Siren Card is not an exception.

Starbucks Limited Edition Siren Card

Taking a page off Greek mythology, Starbucks calls her the Siren. Yup, most probably the very siren in their logo. The new Special Edition Siren Card features art hand-painted with water colors, which represents the change of the season. It has been available since February 23 for an initial consumable load amount of P300.

Purchase limit of five (5) activated Special Edition Siren Cards per customer per day.

Starbucks Easter Egg Cards

It’s time to get “eggcited” for the season as Easter also starts early at Starbucks with their new Easter Egg Diecut Cards. As delightfully decorated eggs are a highlight of any Easter basket, Starbucks invites you to hop inside its stores and find your perfect egg. Unlike most of the cards though, these are available for an initial consumable load amount of P500 each.

Purchase limit of one (1) of each Easter Egg Card design per customer per day.

More Goodies...

These are already handful, but there are even more new treats to be had at Starbucks.

I haven't bought or tried out this one, but SB has also launched the 3 Region Blend (P425) whole bean coffee. From the looks of its packaging, one can already tell that this is something special. It promises to exude floral, citrus, and berry aromas and flavors, the kind of coffee that makes you want to sit outside, feel the breeze in the air and enjoy a beautiful day.

Hmmm... It sounds just like my kind of coffee!

Whole Bean 3 Region

Oh, and see the floral mug on the photo above? I actually spotted that same design the last time I was at a Starbucks store. Wasn't able to ask for the price, but I might just give in and get one, or two, soon. The same floral design also comes in tumbler form. Although, personally, I find the mug more attractive. Anyhow, whether you're a big Starbucks fan or just a casual visitor, I'm sure you'll find something to tickle your fancy the next time you visit. I know I do! *eyeing on the floral mug*
