Daily Quickie: McDonald's Twister Fries

Friday, August 03, 2012
Daily Quickie is a short tag on the title which I use for blog entries about food I'm snacking at home, work or anywhere.

With an almost unending series of bad weather, I haven't found myself eating out as frequently as I'd like to. So to make up for it, I ordered a few items from the ever trusty fast food chain, McDonald's. Last night, when I called in to order my go-to burger, the tasty Filet-o-Fish (P95), the agent informed me that Twister Fries (P59) is finally back.
McDo Twister Fries

Of course, I wouldn't want to miss this chance so I got one for myself. Even my little sis who initially didn't want to order anything for midnight snack changed her mind when she heard I was ordering the Twister Fries. Well, we just can't resist the temptation of curly, extra crunchy and spiced strips of potatoes. Unlike regular french fries which never fail to wither whenever we order some for delivery, the Twister Fries stay crispy even after being stored in the rider's delivery bike for over 30 minutes. Definitely delivery-friendly!

Mcdonald's Twister Fries

After releasing the Big N' Tasty, it's nice that McDonald's is following it up with the return of the famous and always sought after Twister Fries. However, these treats will only be available for a limited time, just 3 weeks from now. So if I were you, make sure to grab it either ala carte (P59), with Regular Coke McFloat (P78), or with Monster Coke McFloat (P88) when you visit a McDonald's branch!

  3. The only thing I don't like about this is that Mcdo Philippines is not generous with the fries. If you try Mcdos in other country, you'd know they don't use a weighing scale. And they literally pour the fries as in bonggang-bongga. They don't pick out fries when they think they put too much. :(

    1. Now that you mentioned it, this is actually what I don't like about McDo's here. Let's hope in the future they'll be generous with the fries serving as well.

  5. I've heard about the Twister Fries via twitter. I'm excited to buy one after our youth service later :D (goodbye diet :P)

I agree with Maggie, I wish McDo PH doesn't limit the quantity of fries. :(

But the box seems a bit big. Is it worth it for its price? (proportion wise)

    1. It's bigger than the regular fries serving. I think the twister fries are as many/few as the medium one? For the ala carte price of P59, it's actually a little pricey.. :(

  30. we just sampled the twister fries the other day when we went down to mcdonald's to have the little man's birthday party booked. mcdo is our go-to place for fast food these days since they have the coca-cola glasses back + i am collecting 2 sets. the twister fries is but another reason to dial their delivery hotline! ;)

  33. Those twister fries will be perfect on a rainy day like this :). I miss them... Might grab a coke float while I'm at it...

  34. Hindi ko alam na kakabalik lang pala ng Twister Fries :D Pero nakita ko ito kahapon sa McDo when I checked the promo for the olympic glasses.

Nakakamiss ang mga pagkain sa mcdo. Parang mula ng matira kami dito sa Panglao, twice pa lng ako nakakain sa McDo. Palaging Jollibee dahil walang play area dito ang McDo unlike Jollibee. So prefer ng daughter ang Jollibee.
