Nail Cocktales: Hand and Foot Pampering at Bluebay Walk

Call me a late bloomer when it comes to nail kaartehan. But ever since I first applied nail polish, my nails were almost never seen naked. So when I received a timely invitation to visit this new nail salon in Bluebay Walk, I didn't even thought of passing up the chance.

Located at the 2nd floor of the retail cluster of buildings in Bluebay Walk, Nail Cocktales is a chic paradise for women (and even men) who loves glamming up their nails. Since it's not too "out there" unlike most nail salons inside the busy and bustling malls, Nail Cocktales also offers more privacy for an uninterrupted hand and even feet pampering.

And although it opened not too long ago, Nail Cocktales in Bluebay Walk has already been a destination for a destressing getaway within the city. With a more muted color scheme accented by bright-colored sofas and throw pillows, stepping in inside Nail Cocktales has instantly turned my relax mode on. Yup, after a long commute from the northern boondocks, I was more than ready to sit back and get a well-needed pampering!

As a nail salon, Nail Cocktales in Bluebay Walk has a good selection of polishes aficionados can choose from. Some of the nail polish brands they carry are Orly, Zoya, Essie, Misa, Cuccio, and even Chanel! They can also do nail arts, although unfortunately, their nail art specialist was out when I visited. *sigh*

Nail Cocktales doesn't just do nails. They also offer other services like waxing. But my favorite part, aside from their hand and feet rituals, would probably be the fact that they don't have the "cocktales" part on their name for nothing. If you haven't guessed it yet, yes, they do offer alcoholic cocktails and shooters apart from the usual complimentary hot or cold tea. Now, ain't Nail Cocktales the perfect venue for your next sparty?

For the little princesses a.k.a. chikitings who also love to have their nails done, Nail Cocktales also carry an array of services especially tailored for them -- the Princess' Station, where they only use children-friendly products. And to make the experience more fun, Nail Cocktales also has a menu of alcohol-free cocktails, or mocktails.

My Yummylicious + Therapeutic Foot Reflexology Experience

The place has a good selection of hand and feet-pampering services. And since I wanted a more holistic experience, I decided to go for their combined hand and foot treatment.

But first, I was served with this vodka-spiked drink which was far from being too alcoholic as it was actually rather refreshing! And with a cold, thirst-quenching beverage on one hand, I took on the hard task of choosing which nail polish I'd have for my nails. So hard!

By the way, the Yummylicious (P700) treatment which includes manicure, pedicure and foot spa is currently on promo! Just call up Nail Cocktales Bluebay Walk to reserve.

Going back... While still having a hard time deciding which polish to choose, my nail technician Geraldine, already started with the foot spa -- soaking, buffing, and wrap.

Geraldine then proceeded with the Therapeutic Foot Reflexology (P300). Although this girl seemed petite, she can really do hard massages! I found the 45-minute foot massage bitin, since it was too good. Painful yes, but really good and so relaxing.

It took me a while to decide what color I want to have my nails painted on. But after some time, I finally set my eyes on Orly Butterflies, which is a not-quite-neon medium pink jelly creme polish that can look a little peach-coral-y, for my fingernails and Sweet Color in a powder blue-gray shade (didn't get the number/color name), for my toenails.

Though I went back and forth with these colors, I'm really glad I decided to choose them in the end. Love how bright and happy my fingernails look like! And I can't help but gush over the unique shade of my toenails. My nail technician Geraldine, really did a good job. Will definitely ask for her service again, especially for the foot massage!

WHAT I HAD DONE:
  • Yummylicious (P700, NOW P499)

  • Therapeutic Foot Reflexology, 45 minutes (P300)

Would I recommend Nail Cocktales Bluebay Walk? Definitely!

Apart from the great service, this nail salon offers a good selection of nail colors to choose from. The ambiance is definitely relaxing (Gotta love the comfy couch!), the location offers privacy, there's free Wi-Fi, and there's even an alcoholic bar for drinks! And how can I forget to mention the very reasonable pricing?

So if you find yourself in the area, definitely give Nail Cocktales Bluebay Walk a try. I'm sure you'll love their service as much as I did!

  4. I love nail spas and salons. After a week of hard work I always make a point to visit my fave local nail spa here in Olongapo. But we don't have that concept where cocktails and nail care can be found in one place. I could have a frozen margarita while I enjoy that refreshing mani and pedi. :)
