Filipino Bloggers Worldwide: The 1st Grand Eyeball

Sunday, December 30, 2012
Over a year ago, I discovered the enjoyment of blogging. And although it was tough getting readers as I started The Purple Doll, I was glad I got to meet fellow bloggers and in the process, became a member of Filipino Bloggers Worldwide (FBW) -- a group which unites Filipino bloggers all over the world. FBW has helped me in a lot of ways, and last December 7, 2012, I was very fortunate to have not only witnessed but also partaken in its very first event, Filipino Bloggers Worldwide: The 1st Grand Eyeball.

While the event was only open to FBW members, attendees of all ages and blogging niches were treated to a night filled with food, drinks and memorable experiences. They didn't only get to learn more about the FBW group, and meet some of the FBW administrators and their fellow blogger members, but also got to take home learnings from Mr. Jason Cruz who shared an enlightening talk on How to be an Attractive Blogger.

On top of all these, the evening was made more exciting as there were tons of games and raffles with loads of exciting prizes from our sponsors. I don't think anyone left the venue empty handed! And before the event came to a close, the Top 10 FBW Travel Blogs of 2012 were awarded -- The Chronicles of Love Mindanao, The Adventures of AdventuRoj!, Pondering Paodaolei, Franc Ramon.com, Budget Biyahera, South Cotabato, Vivi’s Random Ramblings, Traveling Morion, Pala-Lagaw, and Journey ni Ikoy.

It was definitely a night I wouldn't easily forget since I knew just how much effort went to it. To my co-organizers and admins, it was challenging but we finally did it. I wouldn't even think of trading the experience of working with you! To all the volunteers, thank you so much for taking the time to help make this event a success. To all our sponsors, we can't thank you enough for making the night more enjoyable. To Ex-Links Events, this event will not be possible if it weren't for your kindness and generosity. And to everyone who attended, thank you for supporting FBW and I wish you truly had a wonderful night.

  3. I really appreciate what Filipino Bloggers Worldwide has done for me and other Filipino bloggers. Their event, Filipino Bloggers Worldwide: The 1st Grand Eyeball, was very informative and I learned a lot from the speakers. One of the topics discussed was "How to Make a Title for an Essay: Tricks and Tips". It was really useful and I am sure that all the participants were able to use it in their blog posts and essays.
